Still, The Darkness

And yet, still the darkness
In the midst of so much light

I listen for your touch
It rustles in this winter wind

Like dry dark feathers
From a raven’s wing

And still the darkness
Envelops me
Like your dark rope

Silences me
Like your hand
At my throat

Stops me like a
Sinister whisper
From your lips
To my ear

Is any of it true
Are you true

Still
The darkness

And me kneeling
In a dark wood

Waiting
